You may have noticed a field in your Outside profile dedicated to a username. The username that you see generated for your Outside profile is either:
A. Your Trailforks username
If you previously had a username through Trailforks, your username on Trailforks should be kept for your Outside profile, as long as you are signing in with the same email address.
B. A generated username
In order to protect your privacy, if you previously did not have a username through Trailforks, we have randomly generated a username for your Outside account. You can go to My Profile -> Edit Profile -> Change Username to change your username to a preferred username.
Note: if you previously had a username for another account under a different email address, you will not be able to re-use an old username.
Is my username the same across Gaia GPS, Trailforks, and Outside?
Important! Your username on your Gaia GPS profile differs from your username on your Outside profile. To manage the username for your Outside and Trailforks profile, you will have to change your username on either trailforks.com or outsideonline.com.
As long as your account is under the same email address, your Trailforks and Outside profile should share the same username. If you change your username on Outside, you should see the change reflected in Trailforks, and vice versa.
For more information on how your Gaia GPS profile and your Outside profile differ, please see this article.
Note: There may be a delay in syncing information across platforms. If you do not see your photo, username, or privacy settings syncing across platforms, you may have to update each platform individually. Importantly, please ensure that you have your privacy settings on each platform set to your preferred visibility and privacy.
