Get inspired with stories from 15+ leading outdoor publications and behind-the-scenes intel from experts and authors. Plan with route insights—check out Gaia GPS tracks, see trail reports from Trailforks, and sync hundreds of devices and apps to share your own adventures. Discover events and post those finish line photos. Connect with your friends by writing comments and giving high-fives. No doom scrolling here—this feed is designed to motivate you to get outside!
You can find the feed by clicking “Home” on any of our 15+ brand websites and in the Gaia GPS and Trailforks apps. Set up your profile today and start exploring.
Log in to your Outside account to access the feed
First thing’s first. Log in to your Outside account to access the feed. If you’re new to Outside, you can create an account here.
Personalize your feed by setting up your profile
Make it yours by setting up your profile! Add a profile pic, username, and bio to get personalized recommendations and make it easier for others to find you.
While you’re at it, check out your privacy settings and notification preferences too!
Head “Home” to access your feed
Access your feed by clicking “Home” in the top navigation bar of any of the 15+ websites across the Outside Network, including Outside, Backpacker, SKI, Climbing, Yoga Journal, RUN, Velo, and more.
You can also open the feed by tapping “Home” at the bottom of the screen in the Gaia GPS app, or tapping “Feed” at the bottom of the screen in the Trailforks app.
Note: the feed is not yet available from the Outside+ iOS app. You can access a mobile view of the feed (as shown in the videos above) by navigating to the feed on the Gaia GPS or Trailforks app, or by opening up the feed in a web view on your mobile device.
Find your people and follow your favorite brands, authors, and more
Build your community! Search for friends, authors, and brands to follow, or browse through recommendations. Connect with event directors, trail associations, and nonprofits. The more you follow, the more you’ll discover in your feed.
P.S. Anyone you already follow on Trailforks will already be in your feed!
Note: At this time, you may see a difference in followers between your Outside profile and your Trailforks profile. The number of followers you see may vary depending on the products that your followers use. We are working to have parity between the feed experiences, but there will be differences between platforms.

Post your tracks from Gaia GPS
Plan, navigate and track all kinds of adventures by downloading the Gaia GPS app. Then share your routes with your friends!
Visit your Privacy Settings to choose your default settings for activities, including tracks in Gaia GPS. Choose “Everyone” to make your activities public, or “Followers” to make your activities viewable to only your followers. You can also choose settings for each individual activity when you save tracks in Gaia GPS.
Post your activities from Trailforks
Hit the trail with the Trailforks app, loaded with trail reports, offline maps, and features for mountain biking and more. Then post your ride to the feed!
Visit your Privacy Settings to choose your default settings, including activities in Trailforks. Choose “Everyone” to make your activities public, or “Followers” to make your activities viewable to only your followers. You can also choose settings for each individual activity when you save activities in Trailforks.
Share your upcoming events
Register for a ride, run, tri, or ski event—then post your plans to the feed by clicking “Share” on the confirmation screen.
Sync your adventures
Easily sync your activities by connecting hundreds of apps and devices like Garmin, Suunto, and Wahoo. Share your Gaia GPS tracks to the feed by setting the device sync visibility of your tracks to “Everyone” or “Followers.” In Trailforks, set your synced ride logs to “Everyone” or “Followers” to post activities to the feed.
