Where can I sign up for the local newsletter?
As a new user, you will be able to sign up for the local newsletter through a number of platforms in the Outside network. When registering for an event on AthleteReg (RunReg, BikeReg, SkiReg, TriReg), you’ll have the option to select whether you’d like to receive a local newsletter.
If you are an existing user, you will have the option to sign up for the local newsletter here. You will have to sign in with your existing Outside credentials. If you are re-routed to outsideonline.com and are unable to see the Newsletter Center, please remain logged into your session, and click here again. You can update your location under Update Location, and subscribe to newsletters using the '+' icon.
At this time, we are not offering the ability to sign up for the newsletter via the Outside iOS or Outside TV apps. We will be offering the ability to sign up for the newsletter via the Gaia GPS and Trailforks apps, as well as on gaiagps.com, trailforks.com, and on outsideonline.com. You can further control your newsletter preferences through your newsletter center. You will have to sign in to view your Newsletter Center.
Can I change the location of where I’ll receive my newsletter?
Yes, you can update the location for your newsletter in the Newsletter Center.
Important Note: Edits to location may take a week to reflect. If you are still receiving the incorrect location of the newsletter after 2 weeks, please contact us here.
Can I receive a newsletter for multiple locations?
At this time, we are only able to associate a subscription with one US-based location. We are hoping to expand this feature in the future.
Can I pause newsletter sends to my email address?
At this time we do not offer the ability to pause newsletter sends to your email address. You do have the option to unsubscribe and resubscribe from newsletters in the Newsletter Center. If you are re-routed to outsideonline.com and are unable to see the Newsletter Center, please remain logged into your session, and click here again.
Can I opt out of the newsletter?
You can unsubscribe from any of the newsletters at any time! Simply click on the ‘check mark’ icon under the newsletter that you’d like to unsubscribe from.
The local newsletter service is separate from Outside marketing and promotional emails. If you’d like to opt out of communications from Outside as a whole, please see this article on how to opt out of email communications.
Can I opt back into the newsletter if I asked to be unsubscribed?
Yes! You can re-subscribe to a newsletter by clicking on the ‘+’ icon under the newsletter that you’d like to re-subscribe to.
Can I change the email address the newsletters are sent to?
Yes, you can change the email address the newsletters are sent to in your Membership profile. Please remember that changing the email address that the newsletters are sent to will also change the email address that your Outside+ account is under.
