The newsletter will offer US-based subscribers an all-in-one guide to outdoor activities in their local area, including information on local trails, events, educational content, and more. We will be offering three kinds of newsletters: Run, Cycling, and Outdoor. At this time, we will be providing the Outside Local Run newsletter as our first newsletter, and we will moving to launching the Outside Local Cycling newsletter as a second local newsletter option for our US-based users.
What is the difference between RUN and Outside Local Run?
The RUN emails you receive are part of the publication we have launched for all things running! You can read more about RUN here. Outside Local Run is our local US-based newsletter service that delivers trail recommendations, content from our editorial teams, events, and more.
What is the difference between Velo and Outside Local Cycling?
The Velo emails you receive are part of the publication we have launched for our cycling media outlet. Velo includes content from Peloton, CyclingTips, and VeloNews under one new brand. You can read more about Velo here. Outside Local Cycling is our local US-based newsletter service that delivers biking trail recommendations, content from our editorial teams, cycling events, and more.
If I’m interested in more than one newsletter, can I change my preferences?
Yes, you will have the ability to subscribe to 3 categories of newsletters: RUN, CYCLING, and OUTDOOR. You can unsubscribe and resubscribe from any of the newsletters in your newsletter center. Learn more about managing your preferences here.
Note: You will have to log in with your Outside credentials to access the newsletter center. You may have to log in with your Outside+ credentials, and then re-click on the newsletter center URL while remaining logged in to access the newsletter center.
How often is the newsletter delivered?
Currently, the newsletter is set to be delivered weekly. You may receive the newsletter on a different day of the week depending on your location, but our aim is to deliver the newsletter to your inbox each week!
Is the newsletter available to all subscribers or only paid Outside+ members?
The newsletter is available to all of our free and paid US-based subscribers! We may feature content on the newsletter that is available to only our paid Outside+ members, but all free and paid US-based subscribers are eligible to receive the newsletter.
I don’t live in the US. Am I eligible to receive the newsletter?
Currently, our newsletters are for our US-based subscribers, but we hope to expand in the future. If you entered a location outside of the States for the local newsletter sign-up, we have noted the sign-up and hope to reach our international-based subscribers with a version of the local newsletter in the near future.
I didn’t get the newsletter this week. Can you resend it?
We are looking into building out the functionality of resending a newsletter to our subscribers. Please check in the newsletter center that you are subscribed to receive the newsletter. If you see a ‘+’ icon, you will need to click on that icon to subscribe to the newsletter.
The Local Run newsletter will be sent from the email address: info@runlocal.outsideonline.com, and the title of the newsletter is Outside Local Run. Please ensure that this email address is an allowed email address in your inbox and is not flagged for spam.
If you have stopped receiving the newsletter altogether, please contact us here.
