Change your membership
If you wish to change your membership at the end of your billing cycle, you can cancel the auto-renewal of your current membership by following the steps here.
Once your current membership has expired, you can re-sign up for the membership of your choice:
*If you are in an Outside+ membership and signed up via outsideonline.com AFTER March 1, 2024, you will have the ability to switch from Outside+ to Outside Digital at the end of your billing cycle. If you wish to sign up for any of the stand-alone mapping app subscriptions, please cancel your subscription as indicated here and re-sign up for the membership of your choice.

Outside Digital ➡️ Outside+
If you wish to upgrade your membership from Outside Digital to Outside+, please contact our support team here. In order to upgrade your membership, we will have to cancel your current Outside Digital membership and have you re-sign up for Outside+.
If you are writing in within 14 days of purchase or renewal, we are able to offer you a full refund on your purchase of the Outside digital membership. After canceling your membership, you can re-sign up for the Outside+ membership here.
If you are writing in outside of the 14 days of purchase or renewal, we are able to offer you a partial, pro-rated refund on your purchase of the Outside digital membership. After canceling your membership, you can re-sign up for the Outside+ membership here.
Outside+ ➡️ Outside Digital
If you wish to switch your membership from Outside+ to Outside Digital, please see the following options:
If you are writing in within 14 days of purchase or renewal, we are able to offer you a full refund on your purchase of the Outside+ membership. After canceling your membership, you can re-sign up for the Outside Digital membership here.
If you are writing in outside of the 14 days of purchase or renewal, we are unable to offer any refunds on the purchase of the Outside+ membership. To change your membership, we provide the following options:
A. If you are in an Outside+ membership that was purchased AFTER March 1st, 2024, you have the ability as a user to switch your membership from Outside+ to Outside digital. Please see this article on how to switch your membership on your account.
B. If you are in an Outside+ membership that was purchased PRIOR to March 1st, 2024, we will cancel the auto-renewal of your current membership. After your membership expires, you can re-sign up for an Outside Digital membership here.
