I was gifted an Outside+ gift subscription. How do I redeem my gift?
If you received an Outside+ gift subscription, you can click on the link received in the gift email to navigate to the redemption page or you can copy + paste the code you received in the gift email and go to this link.
IMPORTANT: If you have an existing Outside+ subscription purchased prior to March 2024 or a GaiaGPS/Trailforks Pro subscription, the gift subscription will not be applied to your current subscription. The gift subscription, when redeemed, will be layered on top of your existing subscription and will not communicate with your current subscription.
To take advantage of your gift, we recommend that you check the expiration date of your upcoming renewal, cancel your existing membership, and redeem the Outside+ subscription when your current subscription has expired. At the end of your Outside+ gift subscription, you will need to re-sign up for the subscription to retain access to your subscription.
To Redeem Your Gift Subscription:
1. Once you've signed in with your Outside account credentials, click on the redeem button. If you do not yet have an Outside+ account, you can sign up for one here.
2. Use the code listed in your email titled “You’ve been sent a gift!” to redeem your Outside+ gift.
3. After entering in your voucher code, and clicking 'Next,' you will see a confirmation page that confirms that email address and account that you are redeeming your Outside+ gift subscription for. Please confirm that your email address and all details on that page are correct before hitting 'Redeem.'
Once you have redeemed your gift subscription, you cannot change the dates of the gift subscription redemption. Your Outside+ gift subscription will begin on the day that you redeem the gift, and you will have an Outside+ subscription for ONE (1) year after the date you redeemed your gift.
Can I cancel my Outside+ gift subscription?
We do not offer the ability to cancel an Outside+ gift subscription, nor do we offer the ability to redeem a voucher again for a gift subscriptions. Once you have redeemed your Outside+ gift subscription, you will have the Outside+ gift subscription for ONE (1) year after the date of redemption.
If you are in the an Outside+ gift subscription, you do NOT have the ability to cancel or manage your subscription. Your Outside+ gift subscription will be active until the date stated in your Outside profile. If you did not previously have an existing Outside+ membership, you will need to re-sign up for the Outside+ membership to retain access following expiration of the gift subscription.
If you try to redeem an already used voucher code, you will receive an 'invalid voucher' message.
Can I redeem an Outside+ gift subscription if I’m already a subscriber?
Depending on your subscription type, we recommend redeeming the Outside+ gift subscription following the steps below to align your gifted subscription with your current subscription:
A. I have an Outside+ subscription through Trailforks Pro or Gaia GPS (iOS, Android, or purchased on trailforks.com/gaiagps.com):
At this time, if you have purchased an Outside+ subscription (Trailforks Pro with Outside+ or Gaia GPS Premium with Outside+) through the Apple store or Googleplay, you will be NOT be able to redeem the Outside+ gift subscription through Apple or Google Play.
You are able to redeem the Outside+ gift subscription on outsideonline.com only; however, the Outside+ gift subscription will be added on top of your already existing subscription. The gift subscription will NOT work to extend your current subscription. Instead, the gift subscription will be layered over your existing subscription.
To take advantage of your gift, we recommend that you check the expiration date of your upcoming renewal, cancel your existing membership, and redeem the Outside+ subscription when your current subscription has expired. At the end of your Outside+ gift subscription, you will need to re-sign up for the subscription to retain access to your subscription.
If you purchased an Outside+ subscription through web and not on any app-stores, we recommend that you cancel the auto-renewal of your current subscription on either trailforks.com or gaiagps.com and wait until the expiration date to redeem your gift subscription.

B. I have a stand-alone Trailforks Pro or Gaia GPS Premium subscription (iOS, Android, or purchased on trailforks.com/gaiagps.com):
Similarly, if you are a current Trailforks Pro or Gaia GPS Premium member through Apple or GooglePlay, you will not be able to redeem the Outside+ gift subscription on Apple on GooglePlay.
If you purchased a stand-alone Trailforks Pro or Gaia GPS Premium subscription, and wish to take advantage of your gift, please cancel your current subscription through the app store or via trailforks.com/gaiagps.com and wait until the end of your billing cycle to redeem your gift. At the end of your Outside+ gift subscription, you will need to re-sign up for the subscription to retain access to your subscription.

C. I have an Outside+ subscription (web, Outside TV, Outside+ app, Verizon, AthleteReg):
If you have an Outside+ subscription purchased through outsideonline.com after March 2024, you will be able to redeem the Outside+ gift, and your subscription will be extended a year past your current renewal date at $0 charge.
If you purchased the Outside+ subscription purchased through outsideonline.com prior to March 2024, or through any other platform, such as Outside TV, the Outside+ app, Verizon, or AthleteReg, the Outside+ gift subscription will be added on top of your already existing subscription. The gift subscription will NOT work to extend your current subscription. Instead, the gift subscription will be layered over your existing subscription.
To take advantage of your gift, we recommend that you check the expiration date of your upcoming renewal, cancel your existing membership, and redeem the Outside+ subscription when your current subscription has expired. At the end of your Outside+ gift subscription, you will need to re-sign up for the subscription to retain access to your subscription.
Do Outside+ gift subscriptions expire?
Yes, the recipient of an Outside+ gift subscription will need to redeem the subscription within 12 months of purchase. The gift subscription link will expire 12 months following the date of purchase. We cannot offer refunds if the user has not redeemed the gift after 12 months.
What are the Outside+ gift subscription terms?
Gift subscriptions are digital only; there is no physical card. Gift subscriptions are purchased subscriptions, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.
If a gift subscription recipient is already an Outside+ subscriber that purchased the subscription on outsideonline.com in the past year, they may redeem their gift anytime, and it will extend their existing subscription term by another 12 months, after which the subscriber’s account information on file will be charged the then current subscription rate if automatic renewal is elected.
