What is RUN?
RUN is our all-new running publication launched on February 1, 2024; RUN brings together the brains, expertise, and experience of our Trail Runner, Women’s Running, and Outside Run teams. The new site is the centralized trove of knowledge, news, and inspiration for runners of all forms and fans of the sport.
RUN will continue our legacies of super-serving our trail and women’s audiences while doubling down on our road and general running coverage for all. By unifying our team, we bring an elevated experience on our site, social, email, and at events by empowering our editors, contributors, and creators to provide best-in-class content to our audience.
Who is RUN for?
RUN is for everyone! From newbies to diehards, road runners to trail-ultra junkies, fans of track and field and fans of the sport at large, the run-curious, those who identify with running so strongly they’re ready to tattoo the word RUN on their face. RUN is here to serve everyone who wants to start running, get better at running, learn more about the sport, follow the sport as a fan, and get inspired by all the compelling stories related to running around the globe.
What will RUN cover?
RUN will cover the sport of running at large. The primary topics are:
- Latest—what’s happening right now, covering all genders and all demographics. In a world where only eight percent of sports media is about women, we are seamlessly incorporating equitable coverage of the sport, the news, and the communities.
- Gear - We have experts on staff who know running shoes like they know the back of their hands. The gear tempo is leveling up! Expect more reviews for shoe brands to get excited about and to help your sales pitches.
- Road - Culture and News: This is the happy place for those who like to pound the pavement and run out of their front door with their pals.
- Trail - Culture and News. This is the happy place for trail runners. You want to geek out about trail running? This is the category for you.
- Training - We’ll have a space where ALL runners can get intel about their latest injury knowing they are not alone.
- Health & Nutrition - This is where the women’s health hub will live.
RUN features columns by beloved voices in the sport, as well as dark horses new to the scene. RUN taps into experts in the coaching, nutrition, strength, mental health, gear, and culture spaces to provide unique and compelling content not found anywhere else, while also covering the topics runners are dying to learn about.
