Our Outside app for iOS is now available in the App Store. Our vision for the Outside app is to inspire, empower, and motivate people, like you, to get outside! You must be an active Outside+ member in order to use the app.
In this first version of our app, Outside+ members have access to view and read content from a home feed, browse content by brand or activity, read articles and watch videos within the app, share content with others, and change activity preferences.
How do I sign into the Outside app?
You must be an Outside+ member in order to use the Outside app. When opening the app, you will be prompted to sign in with your Outside+ credentials. After clicking on the sign in button, you will also have the option to receive a password reset email if you have forgotten your password. Click on “Forgot Password?” and enter your email address to receive a password reset email.
How do I sign up for Outside+ if I don’t already have a subscription?
If you do not already have an Outside+ account, you will need to sign up for an account here. At this time, we have not released the ability to create an account through the app directly.
When will the Outside app be released for Android?
At this time, we don’t have a release date. You can fill out this form to be updated about future Outside App releases, including those for Android devices.
How do I update my account settings?
You will need to update your account information on desktop or mobile browser by navigating to this page.
How do I delete my account through the Outside app?
As an active Outside+ member, you can delete your account through the app by following the steps below. By completing this process - you will lose access to all of your Outside benefits and account deletion also includes ALL your data from Outside, Gaia GPS, Trailforks, FinisherPix, Outpost, and all other Outside brands. For instructions to delete through Trailforks or Gaia GPS, please see this article.
1. Sign into the Outside app with your paid Outside+ membership credentials.
2. Click on Profile
3. Select Help
4. Select Delete My Account and complete the acknowledgement process.
How do I update my activity preferences?
Once you are logged into the app, click on Settings in the bottom navigation bar. From Settings, you will select My Activities. You can select one or all activities!
Who should I contact if I’m having issues with the app?
If you experience issues with the Outside app, you can submit a bug within the app by navigating to Settings > Report a Bug. Please select "I'm experiencing an issue with the website or with an app."
Is the Outside app available internationally?
Yes. For iOS users, the Outside app is available internationally.
