This means your previous Outside+ membership has turned into an Outside+ Premium membership. You’re Now an Outside+ Premium Member.

What if I have already canceled my auto renewal?
If you have already canceled your auto renewal, no worries! You will still be migrated from your last subscription into Outside+ premium. You will have the remainder of your subscription to test out Outside+ premium.
If you do not wish to run out the remainder of your subscription with Outside+ Premium, you may cancel immediately here.
What’s different about this Membership?
Our mission is to get you outdoors. To sharpen our focus, we’re pouring all of our knowledge and resources into the core benefits of Outside+ Premium. Quite simply, we want you to have the absolute best experience as you read, practice, map, watch, and learn.
That means 2022 is the last year we will be printing our editorial magazines. This excludes Outside magazine and the Gear Guides, which we are excited to continue printing.
While letting go comes with sadness, the same team who produced the print publication you loved will continue to provide the expert information you’ve come to trust. We look forward to bringing you more adventure and inspiration for years to come.
Why is print being discontinued?
Print editions have been at the heart of our business for over 75 years- a span of time only possible due to valued readers like you. It is with mixed emotions we will no longer issue the print version of some of our magazines.
We are excited to bring to you more series and films on Outside Watch, classes on Outside Learn, and our GPS apps in addition to more interactive articles and a continuous stream of the storytelling you know and love online. This shift also allows us to double down on our environmental commitments by reducing our carbon footprint by 25% according to climate partner, Cooler, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. After all, our sport and our health rely on a healthy planet.
The transition from print to digital allows us to focus on bringing you the very best in content, including premium video so that we can join you on the trail with immersive storytelling, hard-hitting reporting, and tips and tricks. Our online content can be accessed faster, acted upon more immediately, and helps us build a stronger community around the sport we love.

I received communication about my membership changing, why does my profile still say I have my previous subscription?
Your membership will still look the same for now, but you will have more benefits.
How come all I see under ‘My Perks’ is ‘My Magazine?
We are working to get your perks listed in your profile! In the meantime, you do not have to wait to begin taking advantage of your perks. You may log in to any of the sites below using your O+ Premium credentials and have unlimited access.
Which editorial sites will continue to produce online digital content?
Will there be any print magazines printed?
We will continue to print Outside Magazine. If you have been upgraded to Outside+ Premium, Outside magazine (in print) will soon be available with your membership. With Outside+ Premium you can expect to receive six print issues of Outside Magazine a year.
Can I purchase individual issues of past or recent print magazines?
Yes! You can find all available past issues for purchase here. Please keep in mind that our inventory is low, so once an issue sells out, we won’t print additional copies.
How do I manage my current Outside print magazine?
If you have not yet signed up for your Outside magazine, please navigate to My Perks, and you will be able to sign up for the magazine under My Magazines. You will not receive confirmation of the sign-up at this time. If you are receiving a spinning circle or the page re-routes you back to the magazine page, please know that this is a bug our development team is working on, but we have received your address information on our end. The Outside print magazine is available only to US-based members.
If you had selected a different print magazine, you will receive the final issue of your current subscription, after which you will begin to receive Outside Magazine.
If you need to update your address at any time, please see this article to contact our fulfillment teams directly. Our fulfillment house is handling all print-related issues at this time, which includes address changes and replacement issues.
What is Outside+ premium?
Outside+ Premium includes everything in Outside+ Digital plus a subscription to our Outside print magazine which includes six print issues of Outside Magazine a year.
What is Outside+ digital?
Outside+ digital includes access to online content across over 15 brands, members-only TV shows and films, expert courses, and mapping maps. You can find all the benefits of Outside+ digital here.
How do I turn off my auto renewal?
You can easily turn off your subscriptions auto renewal at any time in your subscription. You may follow the steps below to do so:
- Head to Outsideonline.com
- Click on the profile icon in the upper right hand corner
- Click on ‘my profile’
- On the left hand sidebar, click ‘my membership’
- Next to ‘subscription’ you will see the option to ‘cancel auto renew’ or ‘change subscription’. Click ‘cancel auto renew’
- Confirm ‘cancel subscription’
