Earn Marriott Bonvoy Points by Linking Your Accounts
For a limited time, through August 11, 2026, if you are an existing Outside+ member, you are eligible to receive 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points when you link your account with a Marriott Bonvoy Account.
You must have a valid Marriott Bonvoy account and an Outside account to link your accounts.
- To sign up for a Marriott Bonvoy account, please click here.
- If you do not have an Outside account, please click here.
- If you already have an Outside account, please use your existing Outside account to link with your Marriott Bonvoy account.
Important Information on Linking Your Accounts:
Once you link your Outside account and your Marriott Bonvoy account, you cannot unlink your accounts and re-link to different accounts on either Marriott Bonvoy or Outside. You will be unable to use either account for linking purposes. Please be very careful when linking accounts and ensure that you are linking the correct Outside account with the correct Marriott Bonvoy account. We cannot unlink accounts to solve for invalid account issues.
If you are having trouble getting into your Marriott Bonvoy account, please contact Marriott Bonvoy customer service here.
Before linking your accounts, please ensure that you are able to sign into your Outside account and into your Marriott Bonvoy accounts. We will not be able to re-link different accounts on Outside and/or Marriott side, and we do not have the capability to transfer points or linking events between accounts. Once your Outside account is linked with a Marriott Bonvoy account, those are the accounts you will need to use for all point earning activity.
Earn Marriott Bonvoy Points by Recording Activities
Linking your Marriott Bonvoy & Outside accounts allows you to qualify for Marriott Bonvoy points on tracked activities via Gaia GPS, Trailforks, and the MapMyFitness apps (MapMyWalk, MapMyRide, MapMyRun) while you are in-stay at a participating Marriott location. For more information on which Marriott Bonvoy hotels participate in the program, please see here.
You are eligible to earn up to 50 Marriott Bonvoy Bonus Points per 10+ minute activity that you record on these apps during your stay at a participating Marriott location. You are limited to recording three different activities a day and a total of 5,000 points per year.
Connecting your Gaia GPS & Trailforks accounts:
After you’ve linked your Outside & Marriott accounts, you will need to log into gaiagps.com and trailforks.com to establish your accounts on these platforms. Your Gaia GPS and Trailforks accounts use the same credentials as your Outside account. Once you’ve signed in on gaiagps.com and trailforks.com, you will be able to sign into the apps on your mobile device and start your activity recording.
Connecting your MapMyFitness account:
You will need to LINK your MapMyFitness account to your Outside account for your activities to count towards Bonvoy points. Visit your Device Connection hub to connect your MapMyFitness account to your Outside account. If you do not have a MapMyFitness account created, you will need to create an account on mapmyfitness.com. Your MapMyFitness account can be set-up with different credentials, but we recommend using the exact same credentials to sign into mapmyfitness.com.
Once you’ve created a MapMyFitness account and authorized the Outside account connection, you can record activities directly on any of the MapMyFitness apps on your mobile device.
Important note! You will not see your Marriott Bonvoy points reflected immediately to your Marriott account after you’ve recorded activities. Your points will reflect onto your account 48-72 hours after your activity has ended. Additionally, activities recorded on your final day of stay (your check-out date) are not eligible for points. Activities recorded on your first day of stay up until your last night of stay are eligible for points.
Reminder: to be eligible for earning points on activities, you must have your Outside account linked with your Bonvoy account. You must also be in-stay at a participating Marriott location. For more information on participating Marriott locations, please visit this page.
